OLAF KOLLMAnNSPERGER

Olaf Kollmannsperger comes from Spain,
started dancing at the age of 8 and completed the Royal Professional Conservatory of Dance in Madrid 10 years after.
Since 2014, he’s First Soloist dancer at Staatsballett Berlin where he’s currently located.
In 2010 he joined the Ballett Zürich being Promoted as Principal Dancer in that same year.
From 2005 to 2010 he danced at Royal Swedish Ballet and Stockholm 59` NORTH .
Olaf´s counts in his resume numerous principal roles, for instance Woyzeck in “Woyzeck” Choreography by Christian Spuck, Prince Siegfried and Benno in “Swan Lake” By Heinz Spoerli and Patrice Bart, Romeo in “Romeo and Julia” two versions: by Christian Spuck and Kenneth MacMillan, Franz in "Coppelia”by Marc Ribaud, Leonce in “Leonce and Lena” by Christian Spuck, Prince Desire in “Sleeping Beauty” by Mats Ek, Mercutio in Romeo and Juliet from John Cranko.
As well as many other recognized choreographers such as Nacho Duato, Jiří Kylián, Maurice Béjart, George Balanchine, Sharon Eyal, Willian Fortsyte, Nils Christe, Jean Christophe Maillot, Krzysztof Pastor, Mauro Bigonzetti, Alonzo King, Makarova, Alexei Ratmanski and John Neumeier.
Olaf has also experience as a choreographer, making Balcony Affairs piece his 10th creation.
He started choreographing and finding his own vocabulary in the end of his school training in 2004.
The process of creating and putting together a new piece of art inspires and let him express himself in deferent levels.
He finds it very important to find a clear subject and make a good research in order to develop a sense in a storyline between the steps, the music and the various emotions.
