Alice Peragine’s performances and mixed-media installations are aesthetic experimental arrangements. The artist of Italian-American descent, born in Munich and based in Hamburg, has a multifaceted artistic practice ranging between research, teaching and exhibition making.
Founded in 2020 by the artist, STUDIO PERAGINE is an experimental art space in the Baakenhafen of HafenCity Hamburg. The aim is to create a platform for trying out unusual formats such as, discursive group shows and film screenings, performances and a live call-in television show during lockdown. It is a laboratory and, in the sense of a social sculpture, an art object in itself that is constantly changing and adapting to the circumstances and needs of the people who work in and around it.
